About Us
Salad Fresh specialises in the production of
fresh-cuts produce, which is a developing sector within the fresh
produce market. Fresh-cuts refers to fresh produce that is
harvested, processed and then packaged for the benefit of the
consumer. Fresh-cuts products offer customers the convenience of
pre-washed, cut and assembled salads and vegetable mixes—ready to
eat or use as base ingredients for a fresh meal.
Salad Fresh (previously trading under the
name of Convenience Foods), is an Australian owned company and a
leading supplier of fresh-cuts vegetable products to supermarkets
and fast-food outlets. Initially established in 1998 through its
predecessor companies and affiliations, Salad Fresh has over a
decade of experience in vegetable processing. From our Broadmeadows
facility in Victoria, Australia, we supply our products nationally
to major retail chains.
Salad Fresh is managed by a highly dedicated
professional team, that always puts the customer first and adapts
to the changing environment. The company's vision is to remain the
leading manufacturer of fresh produce in Australia.
Market
Segment
As an emerging category,
Fresh Cuts is a sector that does not yet even represent five
percent of the entire fresh produce market. As such it offers
exciting possibilities for expansion. Current analysis indicates
that only 5% of all shoppers who enter a supermarket purchase at
least one bag per week. The potential for increasing sales by
promoting the products are clear.
Salad Fresh provides
supermarkets with products packaged under house brands, their own
brands and also co-brands in which both Salad Fresh brands and that
of the retailer are exhibited. Salad Fresh products are available
in all major supermarkets chains (ie Woolworths, IGA, Foodworks,
Coles, Bilo, Foodland).
In addition, Salad Fresh
has a presence in the Foodservice industry which has always been an
important element to the Salad Fresh success story. We provide a
range of products for Quick Service Restaurants and Distribution
organisations such as Food wholesalers and Category
organisations.
